Ski Team Night 2017 is Nov. 9th

 

It’s that time again!  Shep’s Team Night is Thursday, November 9th, 2017. Shop for gear and clothing you need and meet friends and coaches to kick off our favorite season. Racers and their families get special pricing on this night.  Read on!

While we always provide team members and industry pros with special discounted pricing on ski race equipment, goggles, helmets, poles and protective gear, for this one night only you’ll also get 25-70% off all in-stock outerwear, footwear and clothing accessories.

Team members should be sure to pick up Shep’s “Racer Card” that night too, qualifying them for 40% off retail price on back shop services including waxing, binding testing, binding adjustment, Swix Hot Box, binding mounting and ski tuning. Racers presenting this card at time of purchase will also get 25% off race protective gear, race gloves, pole guards, shin guards, race helmets and ski goggles all season long.

Family members attending Team Night will be offered 25% off in-stock outerwear, clothing and footwear on November 9th too.

Meet the family: Picture Organic Clothing

As you know if you’ve been following our family posts each week, we put a lot of value on our brand partner’s behind-the-scenes processes and philosophies. To that end we are SUPER excited to welcome PICTURE ORGANIC CLOTHING to Wausau, WI.

These guys are dialed in. From their home in France, they’ve been about 100% recycled and organic materials from the beginning, in 2010. They got their feet under them in Europe and brought their inspiring point of view and styling designs to the USA just a few years ago. The line is exploding and you’ll be proud to be an early adopter. Visit their site.  It’s inspiring.

Dungeon Sale 2017

Dungeon Sale is Wausau’s biggest sales event of ski season!  If you’re brave enough to head to the basement of our 110+ year-old building, you’ll find crazy good deals on used and new ski and snowboard equipment for the entire family.

Shep’s accepts used gear through October 10 for consignment sale.  We help price it unless you know exactly what you want out of it, and keep only 10% consignment fee (when swaps keep 20%).  After your used items sell, you’ve got ‘Shep’s Bucks’ store credit to use toward the purchase of any of our products or services.

We set the used gear up alongside our own inventory of new gear (left over from last season) and make it easy by installing ski and snowboard bindings so you only have one price to consider.

Kids gear goes fast, so most years there is a line at the door before our Wednesday morning opening at 9:00am.  Have no fear, there is usually enough selection to satisfy shoppers all through the five-day event.  The basement is stocked with Alpine Ski, X-C Ski and Snowboard equipment.

You’ll want to shop upstairs too, where the latest 2017-18 gear is also on sale along with the season’s greatest fashions and accessories like helmets, goggles, wax, tuning supplies and more.  You can even combine the great used gear you find in the Dungeon with new equipment from upstairs at Shep’s low “package price.”  All clothing and accessories are at least 20% off during Dungeon Sale and we’ve got lots of other great specials going on.

To top it off we have crazy deals on shop work, like binding adjustments or re-mounts on dungeon gear for only $15, a full ski tune-up for only $34.99, and great prizes including a Free Granite Peak season pass which you can register for while you shop.

Once the Dungeon Sale is officially over, you are still free to shop the basement. (There’s just less to choose from!) Still not sure you want to own equipment and can’t find just want you want from our used inventory?  Talk to an associate about Leasing.

Oh yeah… don’t be alarmed when you leave the shop after the sale and run into a crowd on the sidewalk.  Shep’s is on the Paranormal Society’s Ghost Tour each year during Halloween Weekend.  Our spirits rarely makes an appearance during the event though, so you’re safe in the Dungeon.  Mwaa ha ha ha  ha…

The Groundhog Saw His Shadow, But There’s Good News in Wausau: Winter Clearance On Now at Shep’s

Wisconsinites know winter lasts well into March most years.  While box stores are busy putting out 4th of July goodies right after the Superbowl, Shepherd & Schaller is busy helping you live through and love the snow and cold any month of the year.

  Winter Clearance begins February 18, 2017 with up to 50% off remaining ski and snowboard equipment and accessories, winter outerwear, sportswear and footwear.   You know you’ll need it next season at least, so take advantage of low, low prices on the good stuff – brands you crave, fashions and tech you love.  Diligent shoppers will even find markdowns of 60% in our Sale Room.
