Demo Day March 7, 2026: Try Before You Buy

Test the Best. Then Decide. Join us for our Annual Demo Day and spend time on the hill with skis and boards chosen for how they truly ride.

Shepherd & Schaller stocks the most in-demand on-snow gear, and has again invited our vendors to share next-year’s models with you. Talk with brand reps, test as many styles as you like. PRE-REGISTER HERE by selecting RESERVE to save time at check-in on event day.

  • $10 Demo Fee – donated to local youth ski programs

  • All registrations must be signed by adult, parent or guardian – no exceptions

In partnership with Granite Peak Ski Area, this event promises a day filled with exploration and excitement. To participate, check-in at Sundance Chalet.

Demo equipment will be available from hill opening until 3 pm, giving you ample time to find your perfect fit. Please remember that all equipment must be returned by 3 pm. To ensure that everyone gets a chance to experience the latest ski innovations we encourage testing another style after a lap or two. Don’t miss out on this fantastic opportunity to test new 26/27 adult-sized skis and snowboards and support our local ski community at the same time.

*You will be provided with a Demo Day Tag listing your key measurments. It allows brand reps to set bindings quickly and correctly at each tent, so you can focus on the snow, not the paperwork.

Swap It Like It’s Hot : Ski Swap Season ’25 is Here!

  • Oct 4, 2025: 8am-2pm Granite Peak Ski Team Ski Swap, Granite Peak Ski Area The public is invited to drop off their used equipment Fri, 4-7pm and Sat, 8am-10am . The used equipment drop off will be at the large tent in the parking lot.  Checks and unsold equipment must be picked up Saturday, 3pm.  
  • Oct 20-25, 2025: Shepherd & Schaller’s Annual Dungeon Sale, 324 Scott St, Wausau New and Used Ski Gear at Prices So Low It’s Frightening! Dungeon Sale is Wausau’s favorite ski sale, featuring DEEP discounts throughout the store on New gear, New clothing and New accessories too.
