Tasks and Responsibilities
Maintain outstanding customer service per company standards, generating sales, merchandising, and safeguarding company assets.
Ensure each customer receives outstanding service by providing a friendly environment, which includes greeting and acknowledging every customer, maintaining solid product knowledge and all other aspects of customer service.
Maintain an awareness of all promotions and advertisements.
Assist in floor moves, merchandising, display maintenance, and housekeeping
Assist in processing and replenishing merchandise and monitoring floor stock.
Aid customers in locating merchandise.
Communicate customer requests to management.
Assist in check-in merchandise.
Participate in year-end inventory and cycle counts.
Assist in ringing up sales at registers and/or bagging merchandise.
Any other related tasks as assigned from time to time by any manager.

Skills and Competencies:
Ability to operate all equipment necessary to perform the job
Ability to communicate with associates and customers
Ability to read, count, and write to accurately complete all documentation properly
Ability to follow direction and be a self-starter
The ideal full-time candidate will have an appreciation for and understanding of retail and business, marketing and personnel
Requirements:
Physical ability to stand for extended periods, and to move and handle boxes of merchandise and fixtures, which entails lifting
Perform all functions as set forth above.
Ability to work our store hours; Monday-Saturday 10am-5pm. We are closed major holidays.

We don’t issue refunds or store credit for items that were not purchased from Shepherd and Schaller Sporting Goods or shepssports.com.
We don’t issue refunds or exchanges for items that have been used, worn or altered, or are missing manufacturer’s tags and our receipt, regardless of timing or discount.
We reserve the right to refuse return of items damaged by smoke or soil, even if unused, unworn, unaltered.
Items that are 30-50% off, and meeting the above criteria, will receive a Shep’s Gift Card in place of a payment refund; No returns or exchanges on items over 50% off or after 60 days from purchase.
Items discounted 51% or more are not eligible for refund or exchange at any time.
A full refund to the original payment method will be processed when the merchandise is returned within 30 days and meets all the above criteria.
Special Order items will incur a restocking fee of 20%, whether we stock the item or not.
Gifts are subject to the same policies.
We attach the purchaser’s name to each sale to establish a record to ease the return process.
Manager approval is required in advance for exchanges of ski, snowboard and bike equipment. We reserve the right to refuse these exchange requests.
Customer Account balances expire in 5 years. This includes Gift Cards, Warranty Deposits, Consignment Credit and Refunds.
eCom Policy
Purchases made and paid for at SHEPSSPORTS.COM
Return Authorization is required. It will be provided in-store by a manager.
It must be requested, in advance, for items purchased on our eCom site, shepssports.com whether for refund of exchange. Request must be made in writing to outdoorexpert@shepssports.com
The same criteria must be met as described above (for items purchased in our Wausau store.)
